Following The Alphabet Shadows book, we returned to our original idea and created another wordless book. In preschool, Liam used this method to reinforce his recognition skills with the 26 letters. In addition to the conventional methods of tracing them in the air and writing them out on a worksheet , he used his fingers to form the alphabets. Now at age 6, he hope to spread this knowledge to all ABC lovers from age 0 to 99.

The other review is totally off-base, maybe because he/she did not read it with a child? This book rocks... MY kid tested, MY kid approved! Another great family-participation book by this young author. Liam is again showing us his love and fascination of the basic building blocks that are the alphabet. My 4 year old son had no problem imitating the letter shapes that were shown, and coming up with new variations as well. This book is also a great way to reinforce what is learned in school, because it provides a way to start a conversation about letters and words without the typical, run-of-the-mill pictures (a is for apple, etc...) I downloaded this for free, but gladly would have paid money for it had I found it in a brick-and-mortar bookstore!Product details

If this was a learning concept, it was not explained. It understood the idea, but without an explaination I can only rate it on my understanding of what is supposed to be being presented here and it is shaky. The letters would be too difficult to mimic by most small children and I don't really feel there would be much, if any at all, benefit from this learning exercise.
Great ideas for little children mimic alphabets.
